New Old School Animation

Zoetropes are one of the oldest types of animation (they even pre-empt film). This fun and simple technique can be used to introduce teachers and students alike to some of the fundamentals of animation, simple After Effects animating techniques, and saving endlessly looping GIFs.

About the presenter

Kevin Lavery is the senior Media teacher and Adobe Campus Leader at Caroline Chisholm Catholic College in Braybrook. He is an active member of the Adobe Education Exchange and was recently highlighted as their Featured Educator. His only other interests are his baby, wife, and watching seamlessly looping GIFs to achieve a meditative state.
